I still can’t believe I’m a mom

I have always had motherly instincts but I never thought there was so much more.

Ever since I started my career I never thought there would be anything more important. Ya sure, I knew I was going to have kids one day but

It’s been so long

My life got so busy since my last post that I totally forgot that this blog existed.

Definitely not singing as my sister Yasmeen says

I like fashion, love shopping, enjoy photography and practice writing but I don’t really think they are talents.  I can’t really pin-point a normal “human being” talent!!!!!

But I have the ability to remember a lot about a person just by having a 10 minute conversation with them. I do not know if this counts as a talent?!

Everybody from my family, friends and even my husband makes fun of me how I know “everyone and their brother”. I do not do this for gossip, I actually despise gossip, but I like to know about people’s history and background just for the sake of knowing.

I know its weird but I swear I am not a stalker :S

So Hala signed me up for an 8K, why? well two reasons, because I am lazy aaaaaaaaaaand I didn’t want to pay for something that is not supporting research (breast cancer, heart disease, etc…)

Soooooooooo she took the initiative to sign me up without my knowledge and printed out a folder of my training program and told me we run in 7 weeks, start training! WHAT THE HECK!!!!! 7 WEEKS?…..

Should I tackle political issues? Maybe talk about the health care they are still trying to appeal. Even with all President Obama’s attempts to satisfy all parties, without compromising his beliefs in helping the middle class, the republicans are still not satisfied.

Hi my name is —- and I am totally messed up, please feel sorry for me!

 

Every semester we get… mmmm… lets say a lovely batch of students… Sometimes I cannot believe I teach University students, Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students. This semester, my last semester, I feel I have the full package, I have a variety of students that cause me a wide range of diseases, from headaches all the way to high blood pressure and heart attacks and I am loving it

We are only four weeks in the semester and I am already getting a heartache, I thought this was supposed to start later-on! Apparently this is the trend nowadays 

So I usually suck, completely suck at remembering names, but somehow I manage to remember up to about 70 student names each semester, first and last name (Mashallah, mashallah mashallah). So some of my techniques is to have a LITTLE SHALLOW chat with them about, name, major, what they want to do and so on and so forth. I also always call them out by name, if I forget I always ask them, even if I do it a million times I still ask! I would associate something with their name and face, that nice smile I like to see early morning, blank stare with no emotion, goofy glasses,

What started as a normal day, an exaggerated storm, as my two sisters called it, was on its way, proceeded to be an underestimated monster blizzard. They say it is as bad as

Surprise!!!

So after I finished lecturing yesterday I found out that there is one more cadaver for those high school classes I am teaching for the next couple of weeks which needed the thoracic cage to be dissected. We worked on it for about three hours and when we followed the ureter down, we found the ovarian artery running along with it, I started to get excited and then guess what?! I saw what I always wanted to see
